President’s Export Council Subcommittee on Export Administration

The PECSEA advises and reports to the Secretary of Commerce on matters pertinent to the Export Administration Act, the Export Administration Regulations, and related statutes and regulations.  The PECSEA is principally focused on United States policies (1) encouraging trade with all countries with which the United States has diplomatic or trading relations and (2) controlling trade for national security, foreign policy and short supply reasons.  The PECSEA draws on the expertise of its members to provide advice and to make recommendations on ways to minimize the adverse impact of export controls on U.S. business while protecting U.S. national security.

The PECSEA is no longer active. The Charter expired on October 28, 2019.
